The biome system works great with the new progression and loot mechanics. Now, by killing monsters, you pump your skills, which allows you to fine-tune your playing style. The loot mechanic significantly changes the gameplay. Enemies begin to drop not only new resources, but also items. In Calamity Mod, you can get items even from ordinary opponents in different biomes.
