How does matchmaking work in Warzone 2?

How does matchmaking work? No one knows – the end.

Okay really no one knows and no one will tell you exactly, but there are a couple of theories and known facts that I will share in this post.

SBMM in all games before and in 6 on 6 MWII multiplayer:

SBMM – Skill Lobby Selection, worked the same way in all games from MW2019 to Vanguard, including Warzone. The point is that they took your FC, the weapon you play with more often, the pace and type of play and a bunch of other factors and picked up your lobby, but that’s in theory. In practice it was like it only counted by KD and winning a few rolls in a row denoted demons and sweats that never saw sun and women in the next game.

SBMM in Warzone 1:

It worked that way, everyone knew, especially killcraisers, that you could drain 5 rinks in a row and 6 gave bots. But the system did not take root, first it punished players with KD 1-2, because 97% have KD less than one and play in their pool of zeros, and the guys with 1-2 had to play in the lobby with 3-6, because the whole rink with 3-6 would not work. The second problem was the withdrawal of players, the system just couldn’t handle it and you remember how long it took to find games after the introduction of Caldera (a great map).

SBMM in MWII:

Here it’s as simple as possible, actually this is a rumor, but the idea is that you play with SBMM at 6 on 6 and I think it’s noticeable, I play “quick game, kill confirmed” and here after rolling in 40 kills and as many confirmations I get 3 rolls with demons that sit in absolutely no intuitive points with snipers and I just move away from the spawn – they kill me, well this is if there is no bombing. In ground war there is no SBMM.

Matchmaking Warzone 2.0:

I haven’t played that much, but I’ve often gotten the most wooden players, I’ve solved 4 doubles while trying to buy out a teammate on the store and it’s almost always easy for me, and I’m not a pro at all. But also often in maximum tactical finals I get killed by a demon with two quick snipe shots and I have no idea where he is.

Matchmaking/SBMM in DMZ:

I haven’t read this anywhere, it’s my own speculation. But at the beginning of the game session bots are light, but if successfully evacuated and perform the task of the faction in the next rink will shoot like a veteran. And players are also matched to you, when I start with a bum kit, because I died and did not evacuate, then Timmytes also. And if I have a good body armor, then and randoms it is good, well it is based on observations. I can assume that this is the case with all living players. That is, I think: if you start with 1 plate, then all players start with 1 plate, thanks to the selection and with more plates, if you have more plates.

What do you think of all this?
