Dota 2 patch 7.33e: who to raise MMR, strong heroes of the patch

At the beginning of March, the 7.32e update was released to Dota 2, which made the players happy. It did not feature major changes to the game mechanics, but there were changes to most of the heroes. A few days after the release of the patch, we have determined the list of the most effective characters of the current version of Dota 2, which will be the easiest to win until the next update at the end of April.

spectrum

The leader of the list is Specter, a carry character that hasn’t changed much in this patch, but his win rating has increased by 2%. This is because the update changed heroes that were strong against Spectra and her competitors. In addition, Eye of Skadi, Nullifier and Radiance – items that suit Spectra – have become slightly better or cheaper. As a result, Spectra wins 56.8% of games and it’s safe to say that she is the best carry in this patch.

Clinkz

Recently there was an update 7.32e for the game Dota 2, which affected a character named Clinkz. Skeleton Walk now always spawns 1 Burning Army Skeleton and reduced the number of additional Aghanim’s Shard skeletons from 2 to 1. With these changes, Clinkz is even more powerful and wins over 53% of games.

Although the gameplay of Aghanim’s Shard has not changed, it has become more attractive to players as it allows you to get a free skeleton. In addition, in order to buy Shard, you need to wait 15 minutes of the game, while the bonus is available from the very beginning of the match. Clinkz has become very popular both as a carry and as a mid lane due to these changes.

Lycan

Consider the unusual situation with the hero Lycan. He does a really good job as an offlaner and many consider him worthy of a top 10 spot. But how high he is positioned in terms of win rate (55.7% of wins) is a matter of a separate assessment. There is one reason why the win rate increased by 3%, and it is not entirely fair. Some players use a set from Dead Reckoning Chest, which breaks the Lycan model and makes it harder to use spells and attacks. Either way, Lycan is still a strong hero, so he deserves his spot on the list.

Anti Mage

Several changes have been made to Anti-Mage:

  • Post-hit delay time has been reduced from 0.6 to 0.3 seconds
  • Mana Void now stuns all units hit.

These small changes made Anti-Mage one of the best characters. Post-hit delay is a big deal for a carry, and the stun from his ability seems to be very useful. As a result, Raskolnikov achieved a winning percentage of 55%.

The character is well suited to the current meta where games are long, you need to farm a lot and you need to control the map to constantly push the lanes. If earlier there were many characters that were much better than Anti-Mage, now the patch has fixed this.

vision

This character saw the biggest increase in win percentage, over 3.5%. While the patch didn’t make any direct changes to Visage, the indirect changes were likely significant. Improvements to Solar Crest and Boots of Bearing (the item no longer has charges, it can be used twice per minute) could be one reason.

Ax

Small changes have been made:

  • base movement speed increased from 310 to 315;
  • Counter Helix radius increased from 275 to 300.

These minor improvements have dramatically increased player interest in Ax. In the context of some of the other position 3 heroes being nerfed in the meta, a lot of people remembered that ax is good in the lane and great for initiating at any stage of the match.

Legion Commander

Another popular character to play at position 3 has taken the lead in terms of efficiency. However, not only Legion is to be thanked for this, but also other position 3 heroes that had changes in the last update. In general, it felt like the shift from hardliners that collect auras on all players on the team to initiator trios like Axe or Legionka was due to the nerfs of Guardian Greaves and other items.

Silencer

The game has the following changes:

  • Arcane Curse cooldown increased from 20/18/16/14 to 22/20/18/16 seconds.
  • Arcane Curse damage bonus from level 10 talent reduced from 12 to 10.
  • Reduced the level 15 Talent that reduced the cooldown of Global Silence by 5 seconds.

An interesting fact is that a character that didn’t receive a buff in the patch became popular. Although Arcane Curse’s cooldown has been increased by two seconds and Silencer’s talents have been nerfed, he still remains one of the best supports. The hero’s winrate has only been reduced by 1.3%, which is not that significant compared to Lina or Razor, who were more heavily affected by the changes.

Jakiro

Jakiro has received some nice improvements that can help him become more efficient in the game. Ice Path now lasts longer and can help slow down enemies for a longer period of time, and Macropyre’s damage starts immediately, allowing you to deal more damage to the enemy. Thanks to these changes, Jakiro’s wins rose to 53.8%.

Abbadon

Let’s talk about Dota 2 hero Abbadon. This character can act both as the third hero in the team and as a support. Recently, a change was made that affected its effectiveness in the game – the base attack interval was reduced from 1.7 to 1.5 seconds.

You may be wondering, “What’s so great about this change?” However, in reality, it was a very important and subtle detail that increased Abbadon’s winning rating by 2%. And it’s all about the passive ability of this character, which depends on the number of attacks.

So this little change in attack interval really made a difference in Abbadon’s gameplay. It may seem insignificant, but in the world of Dota 2, such little things can change the game beyond recognition. It is these nuances that give the game its uniqueness and interest.
