Why you can’t sell items in Dota 2.

Some Dota 2 players attempt to sell in-game skins, but they’re having no luck. It’s not just because of recent updates, though. There are several reasons why selling skins might be problematic. A while back, an update was released in the game that made it simply impossible to sell items awarded after matches. This applies not only to skins but also to various other additional items. Below each item, it indicates whether it can be sold or not.

Bans are issued for excessive activity in the game. If you have a Steam account and have received several reports related to trade scams, unpleasant consequences should be expected. The ban is permanent, and concerning an unactivated account, it’s better not to delay. A player won’t be able to sell items on external platforms.
