Fans of the Gothic series have finally received joyful news – a major remake of the legendary game is coming. The RPG from Piranha Bytes is still in development, but everyone eagerly takes a look at new concept art or teasers from the studio.
Gothic 1 Remake from publisher THQ Nordic recently received a special page on Steam, where you can add the game to your wishlist. Unfortunately, there is no official release date yet. But the game is already being complemented with colorful descriptions that evoke nostalgia. Gothic 1 Remake is not just an improved version of an outdated part in terms of graphics and technology, but also aims to offer a new vision of the story with new mechanics. We can expect an extensive fantasy world filled with dangerous creatures, spirits, and not-so-friendly people. Gothic is a dark and atmospheric story.
Judging by the screenshots found on the Gothic 1 Remake Steam page, the game looks more atmospheric than the original. The developers have made an effort to listen to the community’s opinions and have promised to live up to the expectations. The new version of the Nameless Hero already looks promising, and the updated combat system should provide us with unforgettable sword fights. By the way, the developers have mentioned that the fights will partially resemble the system in For Honor, which is a very good idea. Of course, it will take some getting used to, but Gothic has always been known for its difficulty. However, to know for sure, we will have to wait until Gothic 1 Remake is available for purchase on Steam.
