A modern first-person patrol police simulator is planned for release in 2021. The main attraction of this game is the promised realism, with developers claiming that all stories are based on real events. To ensure maximum accuracy, they consulted experienced police officers. There will be plenty of missions, and interestingly, they can be completed in different ways, including through dialogue. You can try to convince the criminal to surrender, use harsh expressions, or speak peacefully, as this is not a shooter where a dozen bullets do not cause significant damage. Here, every injury can be fatal.
You will have a partner covering you, but don’t leave them in trouble either. Call for backup if they get injured, pass them ammunition or weapons. In case of a shootout, there is an aiming mode similar to V.A.T.S. from Fallout, as well as time slowdown, like in Max Payne. Successfully closed cases promise promotions, and you may be rewarded and entrusted with particularly difficult tasks. When apprehending a suspect or a vehicle, don’t forget to check the database to run the license plate or identify the criminal. The game looks great, with high detail in the texture of the environment, quality implementation of character models, weapons, and vehicles, and a semi-transparent interface with pleasant animations.
The difficulty in finding a good “police” game lies not only in the low quality of many titles but also in the genre’s overall lack of popularity. The top ten in this selection is far from exhaustive, consisting of well-known hits (old and new) as well as lesser-known but playable projects. If you have anything to add to the top list, please write in the comments.
