Another popular game option today. Back in 2014, when the project started, it was unlikely to expect recognition from hundreds of thousands of gamers. However, when “The Forest” became part of the release, it became clear that the game’s success had already arrived.
Unlike the previously mentioned games, The Forest has its own storyline. The beginning of the game is a hero who survived a plane crash and wakes up on an island. The hero is not alone, his little son also survived. But unfortunately, a blood-covered person takes the boy away. From then on, the gamer controls the character.
At first, the developer didn’t deviate from the expected standard – you have to find food, water, and build some kind of shelter. Everything changes on the first night on the island – aborigines visit you. Mutants come on the second night. The third time you have to visit caves where something terrible and dangerous awaits you.
On one hand, The Forest is a classic island survival game, but on the other hand, it is a narrative game that is interesting to observe its development. It becomes especially interesting when the player, reaching the end, realizes that they had a choice. Overall, the game is full of features that should be used when things get really hot. And this happens after 8 days of living on the island.
