While representatives have indicated that the game’s development is progressing well, they haven’t provided specific details. Many are left wondering how the Blizzard scandal might be influencing the game’s release.

Overwatch 2 was first unveiled at BlizzCon 2019, showcasing a new story campaign and several unique PvP modes and additions. However, it wasn’t until February 2021 that it was announced the game wouldn’t be released before 2022. Yet, there are rumors suggesting it might not even come out in 2022.
