Overwatch 2 will become a 5v5 game.
Overwatch 2 is gearing up for significant global changes, starting with a pivotal update in the heroic shooter’s “player versus player” mode. Developers are revamping PvP battles, transitioning from the current two teams of six players to two teams of five participants.
It’s been revealed that teams will consist of two offensive heroes, two support fighters, and one tank. The aim of reducing the number of players is to make battles more transparent and facilitate participants in tracking the actions of all opponents. According to the developers, users will be able to make better choices and more optimal decisions as they gain a clearer understanding of the battlefield.
The changes will also impact the maps. Players will receive more cover from tanks on the battlefield. As of now, the release date for the second installment of the game remains uncertain, and there may be announcements about new updates and additions in the future. No announcements are planned for 2021.
