Over the past few months, Sledgehammer Games has started revealing a series of features that will be present in Call of Duty: Vanguard, the latest release in the long-running franchise.

October 25, 2021 – First Zombie Perk Revealed

Among the first screenshots of Der Anfang, the brand-new Vanguard Zombies game, eagle-eyed players spotted the first perk that can be used during matches. Upon closer inspection, it turns out that Stamin-Up is officially returning in Vanguard Zombies.

October 21, 2021 – Pre-Launch Changes

Prior to the Vanguard launch, Sledgehammer Games revealed some changes made to the game since the beta testing in September. Changes include improving spawn logic on some maps and reducing the impact of the sun, which caused visibility issues. Here’s a quick guide on how to reduce glare in multiplayer.

With Vanguard just a few weeks away from release, many are beginning to expect Sledgehammer Games to reveal new details about the game. We’ve already received additional information about the campaign and zombies, so multiplayer game information shouldn’t be far behind.

Call of Duty Vanguard Release Date

Just minutes before the start of the Battle of Verdansk event, the release date for Vanguard was announced. The next installment in the franchise will be released on November 5th. Pre-orders for the game are already open!

Call of Duty Vanguard Leaks

The latest wave of leaks occurred during the alpha test when @TheMW2Ghost revealed many attachments that will be available for most weapon types in the arsenal. The situation may change, but it appears that getting all the attachments and perks in your hands will be challenging!

For the first time since the release of COD: WWII, Sledgehammer Games has returned to develop COD Vanguard, much to the delight of the community. With several new employees hired over the years, it will be very interesting to see what they’ve been working on!

Call of Duty Vanguard Engine

Vanguard will be using the IW8 engine, the same one used for Modern Warfare and Warzone, which should provide smooth integration with Warzone. This engine is widely considered the best engine for Call of Duty, and based on Modern Warfare, we can expect Vanguard to feature a lot of smooth gameplay and movement mechanics.

There will be three editions of Vanguard, each offering different in-game bonuses and the opportunity to upgrade to the current-generation version of the game:

Call of Duty Vanguard Warzone Integration

Vanguard is expected to be closely integrated with Warzone, featuring an entirely new map that will arrive shortly after the game’s release, possibly coinciding with the start of the first season. Call of Duty Vanguard Setting

The game is set immediately after the end of World War II. During the campaign, the Gestapo, the political police of Nazi Germany, will attempt to regain the party’s rights, while the Allies will try to stop them.

Call of Duty Vanguard Campaign

The campaign will take place in four theaters of war, and players will take on the role of a member of Task Force One, a special operations unit trying to stop the launch of Project “Phoenix,” led by a former Nazi officer. Call of Duty Vanguard Multiplayer

Vanguard’s multiplayer offering includes a huge amount of content that will be available at the game’s launch. On November 5th, the game will feature 20 multiplayer maps. Alongside a large number of maps, Combat Pacing is the biggest new addition to the game, allowing players to choose between the standard 6v6 mode and the more intense Blitz mode, where the number of players is significantly increased.

Alongside the innovations, killstreaks are making a return to the game, much to the surprise of players who have preferred killstreaks in recent years. From drones to packs of attack dogs, there are many ways to influence the course of the match.

Call of Duty Vanguard Zombies

Instead of Sledgehammer Games developing their own zombie storyline, Treyarch is leading the development of Der Anfang, a brand-new Dark Aether storyline where a demonic presence attempts to create an army of undead soldiers.
