Activision Faces Lawsuit Over Warzone Trademark
A lawsuit has been filed against Activision for the trademark Warzone. The complaint was initiated by the creator of a browser game with the same name. According to the developer’s statement, Activision’s trademark “causes confusion and misleads players.”
On the other hand, Activision has filed a counterclaim against the game’s creator, stating that they registered the Warzone trademark 4 months earlier. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the browser game named Warzone was released 3 years prior, back in 2017, predating Activision’s Call of Duty: Warzone creation.
The outcome of this legal dispute and any potential penalties will be determined by the court.
