How to Unlock the CX-9 in Call of Duty: Warzone

The CX-9 was officially released in Warzone on August 3, 2021. Currently, in the game, there is a Warzone Serac SMG Blueprint that you can obtain through the Soap Operator bundle or by completing a task.

However, there is another way to get a special blueprint through a Contraband contract, but it currently has a low drop rate. The CX-9 SMG itself boasts incredible fire rate and seems to melt enemies unfortunate enough to be in its sights.

Every other player now seems to be obtaining and unlocking this weapon in Warzone or Multiplayer (MW), either to get the blueprint or simply to unlock the CX-9.

Currently, to obtain the Warzone Serac CX-9 Blueprint, you need to check various crates and randomly obtain it through Contraband. For those who already unlocked the weapon back in Season 2 when it was first introduced, you may have to open many crates to find it, especially in the red rooms. The competition for finding this blueprint can make it challenging to obtain.

Complete 2 longshot kills with a submachine gun in 5 different matches – this is the main task, which has remained the same since December 2020. So, the task has not changed.

After unlocking the CX-9 in Warzone, you will receive the standard weapon, not a blueprint as before. This means you will need to level up the weapon and unlock skins for it.
