We got scammed with MWII/COD2023 and that’s why I won’t buy COD2023

I see a lot of comments of this kind, I seem to have answered everyone, but they continue to appear, so let’s dot the i’s.

We were not deceived

I have already told many times how 2 years of support turned into a paid add-on, and then into a separate game. We knew that a separate paid call would be released in 2023 back in February 2022, that is, 8 months before the release of MWII. We just thought that was what they called the add-on, there were thoughts about a zombie game. But no, no one has officially promised 2 years of support. And the kolda always came out 2 times a year.

Now (according to rumors) the only thing that has changed is that it will be a cycle of 4 years, where the game from IW will be released, then the game that continues it. Then a game from Treyarch, then a game that continues it. And on a new one.

I won’t buy COD2023:

I believe this is justified anger. This is speculation, but I’m sure we’re missing out on content in MWII because of this decision. But I also believe that COD2023 will sell well because:

– There will be a continuation of the campaign and we will fight with Makarov
– According to rumors, there will be 20 maps at the start and these will be the best maps of all Call of Duty
– According to rumors, again, modes and maps will move from MWII to a new game
– Sledgehammer will most likely do a movement more pleasant
– Most likely, special operations will be REPLACED by zombies
– Competitor shooter will not work

So I would love to encourage everyone to skip this witchcraft, but the channel is a drop in the bucket compared to the game’s community.

It’s also terribly embarrassing that they made this decision at the beginning of 22, well, okay, the engine is the same and all the studios work on it, it’s easy to make maps, especially considering that many of them are remasters. Modes are also already on this engine. But will they have time to make a decent campaign, the third mode, the guns are such that it would be interesting to use them. Perks and the whole system of perks, now it is not the worst, but it is far from ideal. Maybe that rumor about pro perks will be confirmed here?

Yes, it was like that in absolutely every call, starting from the second one. Every year a new game comes out. The old one does not necessarily die, some more rare cards and weapons are coming out for it, but Activision is very campaigning to buy a new one. And the idea is that there is the same spell formula (which obviously changed a lot from MW19, and it’s not clear where it went in MWII), but every year you get a new setting, campaign, modes and all that.

I don’t know when those who are surprised started playing, but that’s how it’s always been. Moreover, FIFA comes out every year, every year Assassin’s Creed comes out (well, it would come out and come out if Ubisoft had the strength to do it). If EA could, they would release Battlefield every year.

Call of Duty has 2 exceptions, Warzone and COD Mobile. Warzone is a free-to-play service but accidentally became popular, it should have died with MW19 and we should have been playing Blackout 2 in Cold War. Warzone had to be killed because it went in the wrong direction, and it was not ready for a long period of support. Warzone 2.0 is with us for a long time, cod2023 and cod2024 will definitely be integrated into it, but I think it will be at least 5 years old.

They would rather fix the game than release skins.

This is the maximum nonsense, because designers work on skins, there are both internal and third-party ones who know all the parameters and know how to make skins, blueprints, and so on. Of course there are programmers who connect the picture with the code. But if you call them to fix crashes on Steam, then they are unlikely to help.

Well, as a bonus:

I recently discussed the amount of content in the chat, it is clear that there are not enough maps for multiplayer, but in fact the game with everything together gives quite a lot of different scenarios, we have 6v6 mp and rank, ground war and invasion, special operations and raids, CB and Revival, well and of course DMZ. That is, in the aggregate, if you buy MWII, then in fact you don’t get bored quickly, there is something to play. Well, in the third season they will add Prey, a rank in Warzone and fire contact.

But after all, there is also the rescue of prisoners in the game, did someone knock out them more than once?
