“Mortal Kombat 1” surprised fans: release planned for 2023! Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav sparked interest among gamers by announcing the release of “Mortal Kombat 1” this year. This grand event was announced during a video conference dedicated to the financial results of the previous year. Andrew Slabin, Executive Vice President of Warner Bros. Discovery, also shared the news with investors, mentioning that the release of “Mortal Kombat 1” is expected in 2023.
“We have many exciting projects ahead, including highly anticipated games like ‘Mortal Kombat 1’ and ‘Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.’ However, the exact release dates are still uncertain,” said Slabin.
Until yesterday, there was no official information about “Mortal Kombat 1.” However, back in September of last year, Andrew Bowen, the voice actor for Johnny Cage, published a video showing his visit to Warner Bros. Studio. And although NetherRealm’s creative director, Ed Boon, hinted at working on a new game, he did not reveal any project details. Last year, journalist Geoff Grab speculated that “Mortal Kombat 12” would be released in 2023.

The story ends at the most interesting point, and the final chord is set in the Mortal Kombat 11: Premium Edition with the legendary return of Shang Tsung himself! The action looks stunning, and the characters’ actions are relentless and cruel. The excellent voice acting and animation make the player feel like they are watching a movie. The scene of the young and arrogant actor Johnny Cage meeting his older and wiser self is worth mentioning. But there are also plenty of dramatic moments here.
Mortal Kombat 11 is worth buying not only because of the story, but also for the exciting online modes, where you will have the opportunity to compete with the best players on the planet. Veteran players will enjoy mastering the new ability called “Amplify,” which launches more complex versions of special moves when timed correctly.
