Warzone Players Once Again Complaining About the “Sykov” Pistol
Following the introduction of the “Sykov” (Makarov) automatic pistol in Call of Duty: Warzone, players quickly noticed its power. Complaints flooded Reddit and Twitter, stating that the pistol was unbalanced and had been added to the game without proper balance testing, essentially as a kind of test.
Players were unhappy with the fact that the pistol had 80 rounds, as well as the “akimbo” perk (dual-wielding pistols), and of course, an automatic firing mode with an incredibly high rate of fire. If players equipped an overpowered setup for the Sykov in Warzone, they could eliminate opponents in a matter of seconds, resulting in an incredibly fast time-to-kill (TTK). In essence, opponents were dying in less than 300 milliseconds, making it the fastest TTK at the time.
Raven Software has already acknowledged the complaints and promised to address the Sykov’s balance issues soon by reducing its TTK and fire rate. However, players should have already become accustomed to the fact that the introduction of new weapons in the game tends to be overpowered initially and requires testing and nerfs to bring it in line with other weapons.
Therefore, it is recommended to unlock the Sykov in Warzone right away, as we mentioned recently. Good luck and happy gaming!
