Free Fire Surpasses One Billion Users on Google Play.

A new in-game event has started, tied to the fact that the game has been downloaded from Google Play more than 1 billion times.

Garena Studio announced that the mobile battle royale game Free Fire has achieved over 1 billion downloads on Google Play Store. They emphasized that this is the first game to reach such a milestone, especially in this genre. While other apps in the catalog have achieved similar results before, the battle royale genre is rapidly gaining momentum.

Mobile versions of PUBG Mobile (including the anticipated PUBG: New State), Warzone Mobile, and Call of Duty: Mobile are competing with Free Fire, but they have not yet achieved such results. However, players love this genre, and it continues to attract a growing online player base.

Returning to Free Fire, the developers have decided to celebrate this achievement by releasing a special in-game event in August, coinciding with their fourth anniversary.

Garena has managed to secure several high-profile collaborations this year, bringing in millions of new registrations and regular players. Examples include collaborations with the anime One-Punch Man and Attack on Titan, popular artists like Eldzhey and Jah Khalib, and the fighting game Street Fighter V. It’s worth noting that the developers support not only Free Fire but also other exciting projects.

The previous Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore tournament saw nearly 5.5 million viewers tuning in, particularly in the Chinese region. This number also set a record in esports history for the highest concurrent viewership of a tournament.

Remember that you can download Free Fire for free on the App Store and Google Play, with quick registration and tutorials to get you into the action. Additionally, you can play the mobile game on a PC using emulators.
