Warzone Pacific & Vanguard Season 5 Patchnote

“Raven Software, in collaboration with Toys for Bob and High Moon Studios, has prepared a major seasonal update for Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific players, “The Last Stand,” in which they made significant changes to battle royale gameplay and weapon balance, as well as adding new lighting to the Renaissance Island map.

Weekly rotation of modes

During the first four weeks the developers will be doing a daily rotation of the players’ favorite modes from Monday to Thursday, while the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) will be dedicated to a limited time mode.

A list of the game modes that will change during the weekdays:

“Caldera: Rebirth” (foursomes).
“Caldera: Trial by Iron” (foursomes)
“Renaissance Island: Renaissance” (fours)
“Renaissance Island: The Trial by Iron” (fours)

Along with the above information, the following game modes will be available continuously Monday through Thursday:

“Battle Royale” (solos, twos, threes and fours)
“Fortress of Fortune” (solos, twos, threes, and fours)
“Extraction” (fours).

The developers have indicated that they are aware of the audience’s desire for the “Prey” mode, and therefore it will occur more frequently in the rotation during Warzone Pacific & Vanguard season 5 than before.

Combat Pass.

“Heroes vs. Villains – Community Event” (new event | August 24 to September 14)

According to the description from the official blog, you will have to choose one of the sides and contribute to its victory, collecting on the map so-called faction tokens or contributing to the purchasing station available points in favor of the team, which you sympathize. Contributing for a faction will give you a discount on one item, which you will be able to buy at any purchase station.

“Operation: Last Call” (new game mode for Caldera | available at season release)

At its core, “Operation: The Last Call” is an adaptation of the multiplayer mode “Find and Destroy” to the conditions of the map designed for the Battle Royale. You can choose your role according to your own desire. Being a defender or an attacker is entirely your decision.

Some facts to know about this mode:

– This mode uses the entire map

– Players start the match with their kit

– Rebirth system works in this mode, but you can’t permanently kill a player

– In this mode there can be volcanic eruptions, so during the match you should follow the appropriate scale, so as not to get under the so-called “hail of stones

“Fortress of Fortune: Rebirth” (map updates)

“Renaissance Island After Dark” (new lighting and weather for the “Renaissance Island” map)

Doomsday Station (new game mechanic | normal Battle Royale only)

Rage Serum (new field modification | all maps and all modes)

– According to the developers, this field modification is effective before you enter into close combat with the enemy, as it will improve your movement characteristics and many other things that are necessary to defeat your opponent in a short-range confrontation.
– Positive effects of using this field modification:

– Increases your movement speed by 8%
– Increases damage from melee weapons and fists by 50%

– Increases the distance needed to strike in a standing position from 1.4 meters to 3.2 meters.

– Increases stun strength by 50%.

– Negative effects of using this field modification:

– Increases the sound from the player’s movement

– Visual “rage” effects visible on the operative’s model

Quality of life upgrades

– Spot Air Strike

– The spot airstrike warning system has been improved to indicate the location of the strike more correctly.
– The frequency of situations where a Spot Airstrike during its use was technically implemented incorrectly and did not hit players has been reduced.
– Now, when the player calling the cluster bombardment or the Spot Airstrike is in the immediate vicinity of the strike location, he will be notified accordingly.

– The location of the C4 model in the ground loot has been changed

– The C4 in the ground loot is now in a horizontal position.

Since the addition of the lootable perks in the battle royal, there was a severe visual problem, due to which players confused C4 and perks because of their external similarity, so in this update the developers decided to correct the situation and changed the position of the explosive model from vertical to horizontal.

– Added a manual setting of the gas mask

According to the developers, despite the adjustments made in the latest major update “Season 4 Warzone Pacific & Vanguard: Reloaded”, perk “Serpentine” remained in the top three most used perks blue branch, that is, the desired effect of those changes they have not achieved, so they decided to remove protection from fire and explosions, so that also return the need for players to use the perk “EOD”.

According to the developers, the final season of “Call of Duty: Vanguard” will give players more options in weapon selection.

– Infantry rifles from “Call of Duty: Vanguard” now use ammo from assault rifles

According to the developers, they’ve made a significant number of changes to this type of rifle in this update to make them more viable, but at this point they see no reason why the same situation as with the DMR-14 (BOCW) could happen again.

– The variable magnification sights (3-6 and 4-8) have been significantly adjusted

The next Tyranny Squad operative is Gabriel Roarke – the main antagonist of the “Call of Duty: Ghosts” story campaign.

Khaled al-Asad (will appear during the season)

Well, the last member of the “Tyrants” squad is Khaled al-Asad – one of the characters in the storyline of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” (2019), appearing for the first time in the “Special Operations” mode.

He can be unlocked by purchasing the corresponding set in the in-game stores “Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific” and “Call of Duty: Vanguard” or by placing a digital pre-order “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II”.
