CS:GO 10th Anniversary – the release of a landmark update

Legendary multiplayer shooter continues to please its fans with new updates. But on 17.08.2022 an unusual patch was released, because it is timed to a milestone date – the 10th anniversary since its release. Let’s see what exactly Valve studio has prepared for us this time!

Stickers and cards to celebrate the 10-th anniversary of CS:GO

Valve decided to celebrate this landmark date since the CS:GO release by releasing unique stickers. We can find them in a special 10 Year Birthday Sticker Capsule. Each gamer can find 65 stickers inside, but inquisitive gamers have already found 7 stickers, that haven’t been added yet. Apparently, they were saved for a special event. As usual, the capsule will not be given out for free – you will have to pay 62 rubles for it.

Also updated a few maps and added a special coin to mark the 10th anniversary of the game. And during the match on the map you can meet the holiday chickens!

How do I get a CS:GO 10th Anniversary Coin?

Adding a new coin to your collection is easy. Simply increase your rank by one level, and it will be assigned to your profile. Obviously, you need to play only on the official servers and have a Prime account for that. But hurry up, because the coin will disappear on August 22nd!

Few more updates

A small but important update will allow players to inspect items that are offered in this or that container. A corresponding option has already been added to the menu. In this way you can easily move from one item to another, studying its appearance and some characteristics.

Work has also been done to improve the localization for some languages.

Changing of maps

The developers decided to change the official selection for some modes. Now among the available maps in competitive, normal and fight to the death modes will be listed as Anubis, Breach and Tuscan.

Another two cards Primetime and Blagai can be found among the official mode “Partners”. But not without deletions: Climb, Crete, Hive and Iris left the official selection for all modes.
