April 21, 2023 Dota 2 Update: HUD and matchmaking changes

Dota 2 patch 7.33 brought a lot of interesting changes to the user interface. Players can now see shield indicators, improved health bars, and more.

But the most important thing is that now you can see the number of shields on the health bar, as well as their type. New abilities have also been added to allow full use of shields. And don’t forget that shields have been renamed “barriers” for your convenience.

Another change is the introduction of health points for units that require a certain number of attacks to be destroyed. Now you can know exactly how many attacks it will take to defeat the enemy.

But that is not all! You can now see the cost of health that will be used when using abilities. This will make your game much easier.

But the changes are not limited to just the user interface. In patch 7.33, the developers also updated the matchmaking system, using the Glicko algorithm for more accurate matchmaking.
