Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War & Warzone October 7, 2021: Season 6
The roadmap for the sixth season is at the top of the post, and we will write about changes and updates based on this roadmap.
Halloween Event Returns!
Last year was fun! The jump scares from the chests were annoying, though. I hope they add new weapon skins and rewards, not just calling cards and emblems. Otherwise, it’s not worth it. We are looking forward to the return of nighttime Verdansk, the Warzone zombie mode, and jump scares from loot boxes.
Verdansk Map Changes

Familiar locations will undergo significant changes. The stadium will change significantly after the explosion, with passages appearing between the stadium and downtown. This will allow players to move discreetly and safely. Also, the “Vesna” has fallen, creating new areas for movement and tactics.
The Original Gulag Is Back!
The same one with showers, which was in the early seasons, but there will be minor changes. Probably in terms of graphics and firefight locations. With the release of Season 6 of Warzone & Cold War, the classic “Showers” Gulag, which was a permanent feature until the merger with “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,” will return to the game. Developers announced this in their official blog dedicated to the new season.
Initially, I thought about how much easier it was for them to do this, and then I realized that in reality, they just listened to the audience and did what was necessary. Moreover, this is the last chance to play there, as the old Gulag has no place on the new map.
New Maps in Cold War
- Deprogram – an interesting map with a red teleportation door. 6v6
- Amerika – a map from the campaign, which can also be interesting. 6v6
- Gluboko – a small map for 2v2 and 3v3.

- .410 Ironhide: Shotgun (at the start, in the Battle Pass)
- Grav: Assault Rifle (at the start, in the Battle Pass)
- Combat Axe (at the start, in the store, or unlocked through a challenge)
- LAPA: Submachine Gun (later in the season)
- Sickle and Hammer: Melee Weapon (later in the season)
.410 Ironhide – a lever-action shotgun, available at Battle Pass level 15
Grav – an assault rifle with high fire rate, good range, and the highest bullet speed in its class, available at Battle Pass level 31
Combat Axe – a melee weapon, available at the start through a challenge
LAPA – a submachine gun with good damage and recoil. During the “Ghosts” event, you need to complete tasks to obtain it, similar to how it was with Sykov
Sickle and Hammer – a melee weapon, available mid-season through a challenge
*All weapon descriptions regarding fire rate and other details are only applicable to Cold War; we don’t know yet how these weapons will be in Warzone.
New Operators
There are two of them, but they didn’t bring in the promo for Fetya (the one-legged member of the team with Shaw).
Mason will be in the Battle Pass.
Squad System
The Squad System will be frozen from October 6: you won’t be able to join a new squad, create a squad, or invite to your squad.
Later on, Warzone will transition to a new clan system. Will you create or join one?
WWII Bunkers Coming to Verdansk
From the official information released today by the developers, it was revealed that with the start of the new season on the Verdansk’84 map, World War II bunkers will be added, which are clearly somehow related to the upcoming integration of “Call of Duty: Vanguard” into the Battle Royale. Perhaps, they will introduce us to an entirely new map called the “Pacific Island,” set to be released at the end of this year in late November.
In farewell (I think they will remove the map from Warzone after integrating with Vanguard), Verdansk has undergone significant changes, although it looked even more massive in the trailer. Cracks are visible throughout the city, many buildings are destroyed, and the stadium is also in ruins. The red buzzing boxes are entrances to German bunkers.
Zombie Custom Games
You can customize rules on maps, but there is little information available at the moment. This would be an excellent way to level up the Dark Aether, but I have a feeling it won’t be possible in custom games.
Many Additions for the Final Zombie Update
- New map and quest that will lead to Vanguard zombies.
- Sliding – a new perk that allows you to explode zombies while sliding when charged. Other features are still unknown.
- ARC-XD and a high-caliber pistol, new scorestreaks.
- New wonder weapon, this time it’s a melee weapon!

During the season: more information on events, integration, and anti-cheat in Warzone. Squads are frozen because clans will be introduced, and we will create a clan for the channel and earn bonuses together.
