Heroic Reshuffle: refrezh kicked.

On February 26th, we announced the signing of Ismail “refrezh” Ali. Just 44 days later, on April 11th, Heroic clinched the ESL Pro League trophy in epic fashion. Talk about making an immediate impact!

Since then, the team has experienced numerous memorable moments both on and off the server. Refrezh not only helped us secure the ESL Pro League Season 13 title but also advanced to the playoff stages at PGL Major Stockholm and PGL Major Antwerp. Just last week, he and the rest of the team lifted the Pinnacle Cup championship trophy in Lund. Talk about going out on a high note!

At Heroic, our team has always felt like a family, and Ismail has significantly contributed to the team’s atmosphere and camaraderie. He’s hardworking, pulls off insane plays in-game, and is just an all-around great teammate.

So, Why the Changes?

From the outset of forming this five-person roster, we’ve always believed the team had the potential for greatness. However, over the past year, while Heroic has showcased competitiveness in major tournaments, they’ve fallen short of clinching the top spot. Therefore, despite all of Refrezh’s qualities, we felt it was time to try something new.

Refrezh will remain under contract with Heroic as he explores new opportunities. We’ll continue to support him in any way necessary.
