Virtus.pro and Gambit to Prevent Participation in PGL Major Antwerp 2022.

The ongoing invasion of Ukraine by Russia, which infringes on the sovereignty of Ukraine as an independent nation, is causing immense human suffering and pain. We all hope for a peaceful resolution to the war and the minimization of further casualties and tragedies.

Given the horrifying situation at hand, we have decided that individuals and organizations with ties to the Russian government will not be allowed to participate in the upcoming RMR and PGL Antwerp Major matches.

Therefore, as before, we prohibit Virtus.pro and Gambit Esports from participating in RMR and the upcoming PGL Antwerp Major. However, we will allow players currently associated with Virtus.pro and Gambit Esports to compete under neutral names and jerseys, as we recognize that the players are not involved in this situation.

Our hearts go out to those who have suffered from the war. We will closely monitor the situation and will be transparent with both the public and participants in our tournaments if further actions are needed.

The PGL Major Antwerp will take place from May 9th to May 22nd in Belgium at the Antwerps Sportpaleis arena. The best representatives from various regions will compete for a million dollars. The winner will also secure a spot in the BLAST Premier: World Final 2022.
