World of Tanks Tops Russia’s Most Popular Franchise List, Dota 2 at 10th Place.

World of Tanks has been recognized as the most well-known franchise in Russia. This information comes from research conducted by Global Web Index and Wargaming. Internet surveys were used to collect this data, with participants being residents of Russia between the ages of 16 and 24. Gamers were also asked to specify which games they played over the past year, regardless of the platform.

The game World of Tanks was noted by 18.1% of gamers. In the second place, Need for Speed received 11.7%, followed by Minecraft with 11.3%. Popular esports titles like CS: GO and Dota 2 ranked eighth and tenth, respectively.

FIFA secured the fourth spot, The Sims claimed the fifth position, Grand Theft Auto came in sixth. Seventh place was taken by Call of Duty. Assassin’s Creed placed ninth.

Popular global franchises also made it to Russia’s top list. Mario secured the 11th spot, Fortnite was in 21st place, and PUBG ranked 26th.

Looking at the global chart, the main positions were taken by Call of Duty, PUBG, and FIFA. The top ten includes projects like League of Legends and Fortnite. Unfortunately, Dota 2 and CS did not make it into the top ten. From these data, it can be assumed that the Russian segment prefers more variety. 38% of Russian gamers had difficulty choosing a franchise. In the global survey, such players accounted for 18.7%.
