CS2 Update: Key Enhancements and Fixes
CS2 fans, gear up for the latest updates that are set to enhance your gaming experience:
- Visual and audio improvements have been made to the subtlety of gameplay.
- Sniper scope sway animation has been reduced for steadier aiming.
- Fixed an issue where grenade throws weren’t registering on servers.
- Grenades no longer detonate instantly when thrown at teammates.
- Players can no longer mitigate fall damage by defusing C4.
- Adjusted weapon fall trajectories for more consistent weapon throws.
- Official servers detecting a network fault will now cancel the match.
- Unique running and jumping sounds added for metal railings and poles.
- Animation fixes for CZ75-Auto, MAC-10, Desert Eagle, SSG 08, and various knives.
- Fixed the bot_knives_only command not functioning for T-side.
- Some visual issues with demo playback have been resolved.
- Screen particle effects performance has been improved.
- Settings fixed to properly disable voice sound.
- Texts from blocked players will no longer be visible in pre-game chat.
- Players are now immune to damage during freeze time.
- Fixed an issue where self/team Molotov damage was recorded as enemy damage.
- Warning added for AMD and Nvidia users with outdated drivers.
- The “Armor and Helmet” purchase menu item will now display as “Helmet” when contextually correct.
- Killfeed and death panel now correctly display information when the killer dies first or disconnects.
- Deathmatch scoreboard stats have been changed from K/D/A/Score to K/HS%/DMG/Score.
- Fixed text clipping during bomb defusal.
- Added indicators on the square radar.
- Fixed the issue where the kill icon was not displayed on the damage information panel post-round.
- Linux clients can now run workshop maps without requiring -insecure.
- Numerous fixes across all existing maps in the game.
