Standoff 2 Season 3

Recently, confirmation has been received about the start of the third season for Standoff 2. This update can be downloaded right now from various internet sources. Today, let’s take a closer look at this update and see what’s new.

New Maps in Standoff 2

Let’s start with the maps; two new maps have been added:

• Sakura – a large and atmospheric map;
• Hinoshiro – a map for the “Assault” mode.

New Weapons in Standoff 2

In the third season, the developers have also added several new types of weapons:

• M4A1 Assault Rifle – an effective rifle with a silencer attachment;
• M60 Machine Gun – a assault weapon with a large ammo capacity;
• New Tanto Knife – a blade from ancient Japan.

New Battle Pass for Season 3

For the first time in Standoff 2, there will be a Battle Pass that allows you to earn great rewards. To obtain them, you need to complete various tasks and increase your BP level. All of this needs to be done to receive special sets from Dragon Rise.

You can get weapon skins, special skins for the new Tanto knife, new stickers, and medals from there.

Updated Game Modes

In addition to everything else, the developers delight players with new game modes:

• “Allies” – this mode can be compared to “Wingman” from CS:GO. You and another teammate will compete with opponents on shortened main maps, with a single bomb site to plant.
• “Assault” – This mode is fairly simple and interesting; terrorists steal certain information, and the special forces defend it. Weapons will only be issued from the sets created by the developers. Respawn after defeat will occur within a few seconds.

Rewards for the Second Season

The second competitive season has come to an end, and the third season has begun. In the new season, players who participated in ranked battles will receive new rewards.

Clans will also receive similar rewards. If you played for your clan in at least ten battles, you will receive the clan shield from the previous season.

Voice Chat in Standoff 2

Another new feature for the game is voice chat. It has appeared in the game for the first time and is currently in beta testing. Initially, the chat will not be active; you need to enable it in the game settings.

It’s worth noting that weaker phones will experience a significant load because this innovation also affects performance. Voice chat can be used before the start of a match in the lobby.

New Factions

As new content, the game has added new characters:

• S.A.F. – a unit of the Japanese special forces;
• “Claw of the Dragon” – a criminal organization.

Other Changes

• Bugs and other errors have been fixed.
• After throwing a smoke grenade, players who are inside the smoke will no longer appear on the radar.
• Death animation has been improved.
• Updated interface for game modes.
• Higher-quality sound. Also, a new reverb feature has been added to make the sound more spacious and realistic. It needs to be activated in the settings.
• The market has received new search filters, such as gloves and stickers.
• The Empire set has been introduced to the game, containing various items, such as skins for new weapons.
• The Traveler’s Bag set has received new stickers from the Sakura map.
• Player deaths will be shown from better angles, thanks to new camera work.
