The Zombies mode has always been a standout feature in Call of Duty Black Ops, especially the “Outbreak” mode. The objective is to navigate through multiple locations, unveil mysteries, and secrets within the Outbreak mode, and successfully evacuate with your team.

What’s the Latest Teaser from Treyarch, and What New Secrets Lie in Outbreak?

The image that Treyarch has set as their Twitter background is the emblem of a new field upgrade for Zombies.

There are currently 5 field upgrades in the game:

• Frost Blast – Available to players from the get-go. Enables freezing zombies, with each upgrade slowing zombies further and increasing the range of the mod.
• Energy Mine – Unlocked at level 35. Features a mine that detonates when enemies pass by. Upgrades increase the number of charges and the blast radius.
• Ethereal Veil – Unlocked at level 39. Grants invisibility to zombies for 5 seconds. Upgrades increase the invisibility duration and introduce teleportation to a short distance away to prevent being cornered by zombies.
• Healing Aura – Unlocked at level 45. Allows players to replenish health for themselves and teammates. After upgrades, players can also revive fallen comrades.
• Ring of Fire – Unlocked at level 53. Creates a purple ring where zombies take increased damage. The effect lasts for 15 seconds, with upgrades making zombies burn twice as fast.

It appears a 6th field upgrade will be added soon.

What’s the New Outbreak Map in Cold War?

We’ve also been teased about a new map featuring a radar called “Duga.” Given the hints, it seems like Zombies will take center stage in Season 3. I’d wager we’ll get an Outbreak Easter egg early in the season and the new map mid-season.
