Infected – a new mode for multiplayer in the second season.

Prepare for some intense multiplayer action, because “Infected” is making a comeback in the second season!

This mode starts off with all players as survivors, but the game randomly selects a few to become infected. Their mission? Turn everyone else into zombies.

Survivors are armed with firearms, while the infected are armed only with knives. However, they’re faster and more agile. It’s a thrilling and fun mode, and I’m hoping they incorporate the close-range chat feature from Warzone.

Modern Warfare 2 Infected Mode Release Date Confirmed

Fans, rejoice! The beloved Call of Duty Infected mode is returning to MW2 on February 15th, coinciding with the launch of the second season.

Infinity Ward confirmed the news via a recent tweet, responding to the community’s fervent requests to bring back the mode.

Modern Warfare 2 players have been craving more content lately, and many have been clamoring for the return of “Infected.”

The good news? “Infected” will be joining MW2 with the release of the second season, alongside other modes like Hardcore, Ranked Play, and more.

What is “Infected” in Call of Duty?

Infected is a popular game mode in Call of Duty where one player is randomly chosen to start as the infected. The rest are survivors.

The infected player must hunt down and kill any survivors they encounter. Each survivor killed becomes infected, making the game increasingly challenging for the remaining survivors.

The “Survivors” team wins if at least one survivor remains when the game timer runs out. The “Infected” team wins if all players are infected.

The Infected game mode first appeared in MW3 and was recently made available in Modern Warfare 2019.

Dataminers have also discovered mentions of two other popular modes that may be coming to MW2, though it’s unclear if they’ll be part of the second season.
