Fortnite: Battle Royale How to Play

Once the developers of Fortnite: Battle Royale decided to launch a new free mode, the game became even more popular than ever before. Most likely, the folks at Epic Games were inspired by the decision of PUBG to implement the ability to play in squads or pairs in Fortnite.

So, by choosing the group mode as the main one, gamers can form teams of 2 or 4 characters. If you prefer team-based play in Fortnite: Battle Royale, you will now learn how to play it effectively.

Fortnite: Battle Royale: Guide on How to Play in Pairs and Squads

How to Play in Pairs in Fortnite: Battle Royale? You need to launch the game client and wait until the main menu appears on the screen. Then you will see a list of all available modes, including “Duo” and “Squad.” To play in pairs or squads:

  1. Invite friends to the game.
  2. Or choose automatic team selection.

To play with friends, click on an empty slot and select from the list of available friends to send them an invitation to join the group. However, keep in mind that the “Duo,” “Squad,” and regular modes are separate, so you cannot enter the classic mode and then start forming a team of 2-4 characters.

Why Play in Pairs and Squads in Fortnite: Battle Royale

It’s logical that if you have an “extra pair of eyes” (or even several pairs), they will greatly assist you during the game, for example, by covering you while you explore a specific location. Also, members of a squad or duo can revive each other.

Useful Tip: If you happen to injure an enemy in the “Duo” mode, and they fall, don’t immediately kill them. It’s much wiser to hide and wait a bit until their teammate arrives (to revive them) – this way, you can eliminate both enemies at once. Also, because the game modes are separated, you can play either 2 vs. 2 or 4 vs. 4 (i.e., either duo against duo or squad against squad), but you can also form a team of 3 players instead of 4.

Another important point: If you choose random filling of slots with players and ignore auto-fill, you will find yourself in the worst situation imaginable right after the battle begins. So, it’s better to play in full pairs or squads, unless, of course, you want to challenge yourself or prove your skills in Fortnite: Battle Royale by playing in a squad against everyone.

Now, in Fortnite: Battle Royale, you can play both alone and choose team-based modes. The main advantage of these modes is the ability to diversify the game and make it as engaging as possible.
