The Last of Us update for PC: fixed some bugs, got even more problems

On the evening of April 7, The Last of Us for PC received the long-awaited update 1.0.2.0. However, instead of fixing the most serious problems, the developers added even more bugs. Users complain about shader compilation freezing, which takes longer and loads processors up to 100 degrees Celsius. In addition, the game began to crash much more often and performance did not improve, despite the release of the patch.

But it is not all that bad. The developers are already aware of the problems and promise to release several additional patches to fix the situation. The full list of changes in patch 1.0.2.0 can be found here.

List of problems after the update:

  • Shader compilation freeze, which takes longer and loads processors up to 100 degrees Celsius.
  • The game began to crash much more often, especially on the content of the Left Behind add-on.
  • Performance has not improved despite the released patch.
