Treyarch Studios has released a new update on July 20th for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and we have prepared all the patch notes for you.

Season 4 Reloaded brought players of Black Ops Cold War a lot of new content, including the new Mauer der Toten Zombies map and the new OTs 9 SMG.

However, this hasn’t stopped Treyarch from releasing updates and addressing various issues that arose after the Season 4 Reloaded update.

The latest set of fixes and high-resolution texture packs for PS5 have arrived in the July 20th update for Black Ops Cold War, and we have all the patch information for you.

“Mauer der Toten” Improvements and More

Today’s update includes several improvements for “Mauer der Toten” and Outbreak in Zombies, including various stability fixes, main quest bug fixes, Klaus behavior updates, and more.

As for multiplayer, we’ve added Rush to the map rotation for several core modes and removed Cranked Hardpoint from NukeJacked 24/7. Check out the patch notes below for all the details.

High-Resolution Texture Packs for PS5

Starting today, PlayStation®5 players can download new high-resolution texture packs for the best visual experience. These packs will no longer be installed by default, and players will need to download them manually for multiplayer, Zombies, and Dead Ops Arcade 3.

Note: If you missed the one-time prompt to download during Season Four Reloaded’s launch, you can find the packs available for download in the in-game Franchise Store.

Global

Social

Fixed an issue where the “Social” button could disappear if a player removed another player from their party, resulting in the “Social” tab not working correctly.

Create-a-Class

The Nail Gun has been moved to the correct place in the “Special Weapons” category.

High-Resolution Texture Packs (PlayStation 5)

High-resolution texture packs for PlayStation 5 players will be moved to optional downloads for multiplayer, Zombies, and Dead Ops Arcade 3. They will no longer be installed by default, and players will need to download these packs for the best visual experience.

When launching the game, players will be prompted to install the packs or cancel the download. If a player cancels the download, these packs will be available for download in the in-game store.

Multiplayer

Maps

Added the Rush map to the following modes: Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Control, Kill Confirmed, Search and Destroy, Free-For-All, VIP Escort, and Snipers Only Moshpit.

Modes

Removed the Cranked Hardpoint mode from NukeJacked 24/7.

Zombies “Mauer der Toten”

Stability

Added various stability fixes related to the main quest, boss fight, and CRBR-S wonder weapon.

Gameplay

Reduced the number of Red Soldiers’ respawns in higher rounds.

Fixed an issue where Klaus would sometimes attack friendly zombies with brain rot.

Resolved a rare issue where zombies could use ranged attacks even when the player was in an accessible location.

Wonder Weapon

The CRBR-S wonder weapon will no longer be removed from the game if not picked up from an open crate after some time.

Main Quest

Fixed an issue where players could get stuck on the ladder during teleportation in the boss fight.

Fixed an issue where the Special Round wouldn’t trigger immediately upon entering the Laboratory if the match was between rounds.

Fixed an issue where the carried quest item would appear on the screen and sometimes block gunfire when a player moved backward.

Fixed an issue where Klaus could hold both a weapon and a quest item simultaneously.

User Interface

Fixed an issue where players could receive an incorrect “Not enough essence” message when approaching the Arsenal.

Outbreak

Fixed an issue related to transitioning between regions in Outbreak.

Field Upgrades

Fixed an issue where Shatter Blast was dealing more damage than intended.

Perks

Fixed an issue related to Tombstone Soda.

While some of the additions to Black Ops Cold War in the Season 4 Reloaded update may not have pleased fans, such as the challenging OTs 9 SMG unlock task, there’s no doubt that the community will be pleased with the fixes and additions Treyarch has included in the July 20th update.
