Finding a regular flashlight in Sons of the Forest

For the convenience of exploring caves, the first thing you should do is get a regular flashlight. Surprisingly, this can be done at the very beginning of the game. After spawning on the beach (there are three initial spawn points in Sons of the Forest at the moment), follow to the leftmost beacon, marked with a purple marker. Below is a map showing its location.

Go to the marker “Beacon 2” and examine the rock. At the top, find a corpse tied with a rope. Cut the rope and the body will fall down along with the flashlight. Please note that the flashlight may not be directly on the body, so we recommend that you look around.

Although the light from a regular flashlight is not too bright, it is much superior to the light from a lighter. This will be enough to illuminate your path in the dungeons.

In search of a flashlight for a pistol

In addition to the standard flashlight, in the process of beating the game you can find a special flashlight for the pistol. It attaches to the muzzle of a weapon and illuminates the path ahead of you. However, the light from it is even worse than from an ordinary flashlight. However, it allows you to aim with one hand, while highlighting a small area in front of you. At the same time, you can take a standard flashlight or a lighter in your free hand.

To find this module, go to the bunker with the golden armor. Its location is also indicated on the map above (“Golden Armor” marker). Explore the territory of the bunker and you are sure to find this useful accessory for your pistol.
