Epic Games Studio Will Sue: Apple Removed Fortnite from the App Store

Apple has removed the popular game Fortnite from the app store. Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite, has decided to take legal action. The reason for the game’s removal was the direct payment system, which the app store administrators considered a violation. They have their own payment system that takes a 30% cut from in-game purchases. Cupertino did not appreciate this and made it clear that they were not going to change their stance.

Epic Games has decided to go all the way and not back down, so they have filed a lawsuit against the app store. Those who have already installed the game from the app store on their smartphones can continue to play it. New users, however, will have to visit the game’s website to download it, and updates will also have to be downloaded in the same way.
