❌ No PS5 and No Games in the PS Store. SONY Blocks the Service in Russia.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced today that their software will no longer be available in Russia. What does this mean? Russian gamers will no longer be able to purchase PlayStation (PS) 5 consoles or games from the PS Store, as well as discs in retail stores.
The company has imposed these sanctions, which means that all games you have already purchased can still be played, but new purchases cannot be made in Russia. It’s worth noting that the latest game released for the consoles was Gran Turismo 7, available for PS 4 and 5, and it was released on March 4, 2022. Now, it cannot be purchased in Russia either.
Sony Group has made a donation of $2,000,000 to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Save the Children “to support victims.”
Just a week ago, the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine requested that Microsoft and Sony stop their shipments of Xbox and PS to Russia and Belarus. The companies have gone further by completely discontinuing the sale of their products and services in Russia.
