How to Use the AKR?

Considering that the recoil of the AKR is not small, I recommend firing in short bursts of 3-5 rounds. At first glance, it may seem like an ordinary rifle with nothing special, but mastering it from the beginning can be challenging. It takes some time to get used to it.

There’s a catch here: shooting can be difficult due to the recoil. Stick to the “shoot in short bursts” principle; it will make it easier to get into the rhythm of the game.

A precise shot to the head is a deadly blow to your opponent. The rifle’s shot power is almost equal to that of the AWM sniper rifle. I do not recommend firing entire magazines because of the high recoil I mentioned earlier. It’s better not to waste ammo since only a few of them will hit the target, while the rest will miss.

It’s best to engage in close combat to reduce spread.

During AKR firing, I suggest using the “crouch” mode and not moving at all for a few seconds. Your movements will result in inaccurate shots at opponents. Not everyone can move skillfully and eliminate enemies instantly. So, beginners, take note.

AKR excels at piercing obstacles. It’s easier than ever to kill enemies hiding behind objects. You don’t necessarily have to see the opponent to do this. Focus on the red color while aiming. It indicates whether the enemy is behind cover or exposed.

How to Counter the AKR?

Surprisingly, most players have no idea how to use the Kalashnikov properly in combat. For shooting, I recommend taking any sniper rifle or a weapon with an optical sight.

You can also use another automatic weapon. It’s perfect for both short and long distances. One of the main downsides of using AKR is the desire to empty a whole magazine into your opponent, which is not a good strategy in Standoff 2.
