BetBoom Team Drops Out of Top 12 in DPC 2023! Now They Might Miss TI12.

The BetBoom Team lost 400 DPC (DOTA Pro Circuit) points due to a technical defeat in a match against Tundra Esports in the upper bracket of The Bali Major 2023 playoffs in Dota 2. This incident has serious consequences for the CIS team, as they now have only 760 points in the DPC ranking, and they can no longer guarantee themselves a spot at The International 2023 based on the seasonal rating.

According to Liquipedia’s data, there are only four available slots left in the top 12 of the DPC 2023 ranking. Currently, six teams – TSM, PSG.LGD, beastcoast, BetBoom Team, Quest Esports, and Team Aster – are competing for these positions. The final allocation of the remaining slots depends on the results of The Bali Major 2023 playoffs. BetBoom Team needs to reach at least the top 8 to have a chance, and to achieve that, they must go through one round in the lower bracket.

The incident involving BetBoom Team’s technical defeat against Tundra became known on July 6th. The reason behind it was a violation of the rules by the team’s offlaner, Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko from the CIS, who started a stream during a pause in the game. Details of this situation can be found in the corresponding material. In the lower bracket of the playoffs, BetBoom Team will face Azure Ray. The match is scheduled for July 6th at 12:30 Moscow time.
