Actor Voicing Geralt in “The Witcher” Game Series Reveals the Reason for Henry Cavill’s Exit from the Series.

Doug Cockle, who portrayed Geralt in The Witcher game trilogy, explained the reason for Henry Cavill’s departure from the Netflix series. According to the actor, Cavill declined the role of the Witcher because the series diverged from the original material.

According to Cockle, Cavill told him in a private message that he disagreed with how Netflix was developing the universe. Cavill, a fan of the series, was very disappointed in how the show had changed and how much it differed from the books. This became the reason for his departure. Cockle also expressed his disappointment in the series but wished success to Liam Hemsworth, who will be the new Geralt.

Earlier, Cockle expressed his respect for the first season of the series and said he was a fan of Geralt as portrayed by Cavill. Users speculate that Cavill’s dissatisfaction may have been caused by the second season, which deviated more from Andrzej Sapkowski’s works than the first.
