New Lada X-Cross 5: first photos and production details at the Nissan plant in St. Petersburg

The AvtoVAZ concern presented its new crossover Lada X-Cross 5, which is produced at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg. This model promises to be one of the most important novelties in the Russian automotive market in 2023.

The first photos of Lada X-Cross 5 were published by Za Rulem magazine. The new crossover is produced on the basis of the Nissan plant, which was bought by AvtoVAZ last year. This move allowed the automaker to expand its lineup.

At the AvtoVAZ dealer conference in Sochi, a new model Lada X-Cross 5 was presented, which is very similar to the Chinese crossover FAW Bestune T77. The cost of the original car varies from 2.1 to 2.4 million rubles, depending on the configuration.

Production of the new model will begin in a few months, and AvtoVAZ plans to produce up to 10,000 vehicles during 2023. In addition, the automaker intends to introduce another crossover model and a sedan.

It is worth noting that Moskvich also introduced new car models that are very similar to the models of the Chinese JAC. And in April 2023, the plant introduced the Moskvich 6 sedan, which resembles the Sehol A5 sold in Russia.
