Steam Next Fest Kicks Off on Steam.

The first New Games Festival / Steam Next Fest has kicked off on Steam, an event during which players can personally evaluate demo versions of hundreds of games set to be released on the service in 2022.

Additionally, during the week from February 21 to February 28, 2022, users will have the opportunity to attend presentations of games by the developers themselves and even engage in conversations with artists.

Steam Next Fest, formerly known as Steam Game Festival, was introduced in 2020 as an alternative to traditional gaming expos canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event gained popularity among users and Valve because during Steam Next Fest, players actively added games to their wishlists and subsequently purchased them. Now the festival takes place twice a year, at the end of winter and autumn.
