Call of Duty and Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 Will Share the Same Engine

All games on the same engine and something else. In the Activision announcement, they said they are entering a new era of Call of Duty, and Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 will be on the same engine, just like all subsequent parts, like BO 2024.

It seems that the new Call of Duty Mobile will also use the same engine. It’s interesting how they will bring all of this together under a common denominator, as Vanguard clearly didn’t work seamlessly with Warzone; the game used IW8 engine but didn’t integrate seamlessly with Warzone.

As you can see from the screenshot here, they aren’t even trying to talk about a different engine; no, it’s the same one from MW2019, but I’ll remind you that in that game, it was only utilizing 30% of its capabilities.

An anti-cheat system will be in place from the start in MWII and WZ 2.0 (December 2022). This doesn’t mean there won’t be any cheats at all, but there will be significantly fewer of them than even in the current Warzone.

The game will be available on Steam, and judging by the current page, it won’t require Battle.net. I believe Warzone 2.0 will follow a similar scenario.
