Baldur’s Gate 3 Surpasses Half a Million Players Online on Steam

Steam has recently welcomed its 500,000th online player for Baldur’s Gate 3, setting a new high.
Sven Vincke, the creative mind behind this immersive project, jokingly admitted on his Twitter that he’d have to keep a low profile around the IT team as his prediction of 100,000 concurrent players fell substantially short.
Baldur’s Gate 3’s standing in the history of Steam now looks impressive: the game secured the 11th spot among all games for the highest player peak, and the 4th in the single-player category.
Meanwhile, Vincke affirms that selling Larian Studios is not in his cards, as he is unwilling to gamble with his team’s creative freedom.
Fans of Baldur’s Gate 3 should mark September 6 on their calendars, as the game is set to launch on PS5. Unfortunately, the release on Xbox Series has been postponed indefinitely due to hardware issues with Series S.
