Release Dates and PC Requirements for Battlefield 2042 Technical Tests Revealed

Get ready, gamers! Six gaming sessions are set for testing from August 12th to 15th. According to electronic invitations seen by VGC, five sessions will last for three hours each, while one special session will run for nine hours straight. Originally slated for July, these technical trials got pushed back. The reason? To allow DICE to test out some newly announced cross-platform functionalities.

Several thousand participants are expected to join the testing phase. If you’re itching to be one of them, it’s advisable to register on EA Playtesting. However, snagging a spot isn’t guaranteed even with registration.

Technical Requirements

The game will be compatible with 64-bit Windows 10 PCs. For the CPU, the minimum requirement is an AMD FX-8350 or a Core i5 6600K. For a smoother experience, AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7 4790 and above are recommended. While the game will run with 8GB of RAM, 16GB is advised for optimal performance.

  • Minimum GPU specs include a Radeon RX or GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB VRAM.
  • For the best graphics, aim for a GeForce RTX 2060 (NVIDIA) or Radeon RX 5600 XT, both with 8GB of VRAM.
