New Mode “Portal” in Battlefield 2042 Will Feature Maps from Previous Titles

Earlier than expected, Game Rant revealed that Battlefield 2042 will feature a new mode called “Portal,” which essentially serves as a community-driven sandbox. This innovative mode allows players to curate matches from four different games within the Battlefield franchise. Not only can players create and publish their own game modes, but they can also browse and join them directly from the game interface.

In addition to the customizable content, players can also enjoy a series of classic game modes. These updates promise a wave of excitement, introducing changes that are sure to evoke positive emotions. An intriguing twist is the introduction of a female protagonist, a departure from the usual male-dominated narratives. Alongside the variety of weapons and vehicles, players will have the freedom to utilize these assets in custom matches. The full and official presentation took place on July 22nd.
