No New Call of Duty at E3 2021, but Insiders Share Details About the Game

According to reliable sources cited by VGC, Activision Blizzard won’t showcase the new installment of Call of Duty at the upcoming E3 2021. Instead, the studio will focus on revealing a trailer for the ever-popular F2P-CoD: Warzone. Come summer, the company plans to host an in-game event within Warzone, where Call of Duty: Vanguard will be officially announced.

Developed by Sledgehammer Games, the new title is slated for a November release on both current and last-gen consoles (Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 & 4, and Xbox One), as well as PC. The game promises a gripping campaign, dynamic multiplayer, and a chilling zombie mode set in the Pacific theatre.

Sledgehammer Games has also promised a slew of content for Warzone, which will soon transition its multiplayer battles to the WWII era post-Vanguard’s release. Among the studio’s plans are a new, larger-scale map, new weapons, and vehicles to enrich the gameplay experience.

While Activision Blizzard hasn’t officially confirmed these details, they’ve tantalizingly hinted at revealing “something” during the upcoming Summer Game Fest.
