FACEIT Responds to Concerns from Ukrainian Players

• FACEIT is understanding of the situation in Ukraine.
• By default, for players in the European region CS2 (which includes Ukraine), servers in Germany, Netherlands, the UK, and France will be chosen for gameplay.
• To play on a Moscow server, a player needs to select it manually.
• Data stored on servers outside Russia remain confidential and are not shared with Russian gaming servers, the managing Russian company, or Russian authorities.

Regarding the use of Moscow servers and the XSOLLA payment system, this is not a new practice for FACEIT. However, the recent opening of Moscow servers for all raises data security concerns. If FACEIT’s statements are to be believed, there shouldn’t be any issues, but skepticism is understandable.

My Recommendation: Avoid playing on Russian servers on FACEIT. This not only keeps your data safe but also expresses your stance on the events in the region. If you are confident in FACEIT’s security measures, the choice remains yours.
