CS:GO Nominees for Esports Awards 2023

The organizers of the prestigious Esports Awards 2023 have unveiled the list of nominees in various categories. One of the key categories is “Best Esports Game,” and in this category, CS:GO has been nominated. The professional scene of Valve’s shooter is represented by fourteen teams, players, coaches, and other members of the professional community.

Nominees from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

  • Team of the Year: Vitality
  • Coaches of the Year: Danny “zonic” Sørensen (Vitality) and Jan “Swani” Müller (G2)
  • PC Players of the Year: Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut (Vitality), Nikola “NiKo” Kovač (G2), and Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač (G2)
  • Commentators of the Year: Alex “Machine” Richardson and Conner “Scrawny” Girvan
  • Commentator-Analysts of the Year: Mohan “launders” Govindasamy and Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill
  • Analysts of the Year: Alex “Mauisnake” Ellenberg and Mathieu “Maniac” Kikerez
  • Hosts of the Year: Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere and Freya “Freya” Spiers

In addition to the nominees listed above, the organizers of Esports Awards 2022 recognized the work of HLTV.org as a esports platform, as well as tournament operators ESL and BLAST, who are actively fostering the CS:GO pro scene.
