How player ranks in CS:GO have changed after the patch?

We can safely say and even show you how the ranks of players in matchmaking have changed, after the CS:GO balance update of August 1, 2022 (yes it’s been a year already, and instead of releasing a new one, they are releasing CS2 with a new ranking system).

How did the ranks of all players in matchmaking change after August 1, 2022 in CS:GO?

A game analysis service in CS:GO analyzed over 500,000 players after the update to see how their ranks changed.

The result showed that over 46% of players have lost their rank and continue to drop down. Only 33% have not changed their ranks at all, but 22% have managed to upgrade their ranks and continue to do so.

It should be noted that players quickly rose from Silver 2 to Legendary Berkut Master. The maximum loss of ranks was from Grand Master Supreme to Silver Elite (that’s about me, post editor). And only 0.005% of players were able to upgrade their rank 10 ranks higher than they had.
