Jonathan EliGE Jablonowski speaks out about the team’s work after the IEM Rio Major 2022

In an interview with MonsterEnergy.com, Team Liquid CS:GO member Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski noted the importance of Mark “YEKINDAR” Galinskis’ contribution to the team. Jablonowski noted that Galinskis plays a very important role on the team and brings a lot of positive results. He also added that the team is working to improve its results and will try to represent its organization in the best way possible in future tournaments.

We are a really good team. I think YEKINDAR has helped us a lot with not only working on structure, but also improving our individual play. He gave me more confidence. I felt like I lost my way a little bit at the end of the second half of 2021 and into the first half of 2022. I was missing my own playing style and stopped understanding what I was good at.

Thanks to my sports psychologist and YEKINDAR, I got my confidence back. YEKINDAR is a good influence on me because he works in a similar style to me. I think there are a lot of positives in Team Liquid. We just need to work harder, even though we’ve already worked hard enough in the second half of the year.

In his interview, Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski also noted that despite the disappointing result at IEM Rio Major 2022, he sees potential in the roster. He pointed out that the team is on the right track and is constantly working on its shortcomings to improve its performance in future tournaments.

[A result in the majors] is definitely not the end of the world. We certainly didn’t get the results we wanted, but the trajectory of the lineup has improved. I think we played well, we have a good structure and our training process is good, so everyone is staying calm.

At the IEM Rio Major 2022, Team Liquid took 9th-11th place, earning $20k. The team failed to make the championship playoffs, losing in the deciding match to Team Spirit. This was an unfortunate result for the team that had previously shown a great game and achieved high positions in tournaments.
