Pro Gamer meL Speaks Out on Gender Bias in VALORANT and CS:GO Teams

Professional Valorant player meL has recently voiced her concerns about the gender bias that exists within male-dominated esports teams. And it’s not just limited to VALORANT; the issue extends to other popular esports like Counter-Strike as well.

No Trials, No Checks

meL shared that she has attempted multiple times to join male teams but has been consistently denied the opportunity to even undergo skill assessments. This is despite her notable achievements in the esports arena.

Past Achievements Don’t Matter?

What’s even more surprising is that many players within these teams insisted that meL and other women should not be allowed to participate in skill tests. This happened regardless of the women’s past accomplishments and skills that could potentially benefit the team.

Time for Change

This situation clearly calls for attention and a shift in how esports organizations view female players. After all, esports isn’t just a male domain, and everyone deserves equal opportunities, regardless of gender.

What are your thoughts? Isn’t it time to change this outdated system and give a chance to talented players, irrespective of their gender?
