DOOM Game Developer Supports Ukraine and Releases a New Level for DOOM II.

John Romero, the legendary creator of DOOM, has shown his support for Ukraine by releasing a new level for DOOM II.

In a gesture to back Ukraine amidst the Russian aggression, the iconic DOOM developer John Romero has crafted a new level for DOOM II, aptly named “One Humanity.” Priced at 5 euros, the proceeds from the sales will be directed towards humanitarian aid for Ukrainians.

“To support the people of Ukraine and the humanitarian efforts of the Red Cross and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund, I am releasing a new DOOM II level for a 5 euro donation. 100% of the proceeds will go to these agencies. Thank you,” Romero wrote.

“One Humanity” marks Romero’s first DOOM II level since the original game’s release back in 1994. The .WAD file includes a readme text file and additional mod data. Players will need an original copy of DOOM II and a modern port to experience “One Humanity.”
