Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021).

On June 17, 2021, a new update for Warzone and Cold War will be released, adding a new season with additional content, of which there will be plenty. Right now, we’ll tell you all about it.

New Game Event for Season Four: “Ground Fall”

The new game event for Season 4 of Warzone will be a “satellite,” with various rewards such as calling cards, charms, and a small amount of experience for completion. Everyone who completes the challenges will receive an additional unique epic weapon blueprint for their secondary weapon.

Season Four Warzone, Cold War – New Weapons

MG 82

The new MG 82 machine gun will be available at level 15 of your battle pass. We recently wrote about it, and we’ll also publish the current loadout for the game.

C58

The C58 assault rifle, with preliminary characteristics showing promise for a new meta. You can obtain this rifle at level 31 of the battle pass. You can find the C58 loadout in this post.

Nailgun

The new Nailgun submachine gun will be added to Warzone at the start, but you can only obtain it after completing an additional task. The exact task is currently unknown. You can find the Nailgun loadout in this post.

OTs 9

The second submachine gun, OTs 9, will be added to the game during the season, most likely in the second half with a refresh. You can also obtain it through a task or purchase a paid special bundle to receive the blueprint through the in-game store. You can find the OTs 9 loadout here.

Mace

As we remember, a mace was added in the previous season, but it will soon be available in Warzone. This season promises the appearance of a mace, which you can obtain through a task or by purchasing it from the in-game store.

New Maps and Additions

Collateral (12v12) and Collateral Strike (6v6)

New maps that will be available for Cold War right from the start, and there are also plans for a 24/7 playlist to distribute players.

Amsterdam (2v2 and 3v3)

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 29

Another map that will be available at the start of the season, though without a 24/7 addition. It will frequently appear in gunfight.

Hijacked (6v6)

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 30

This map will also be available from the start of Season 4 and will also be imported into the mobile version of the game.

Rush (6v6)

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 31

The Rush (6v6) map will be added during the season, and there’s a possibility it will come in the second half, most likely in a “refresh.”

New Cold War PvP Modes

As usual, more content will be brought to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, as it is the current latest version of the game that is still being sold. This means that the content within it is constantly evolving, and everything (weapons, additions) will later be imported into Warzone.

Multi-Team Satellite Defense

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 32

Since a new in-game event related to satellites will be added, some tasks will be transferred to Cold War. It’s important to understand that they will offer free gameplay to players for a week (or another period) so that they eventually purchase the game. The game mode will be available right from the start. The main objective is to capture and hold enemy points, and the first team to reach a certain maximum value wins. It’s not much different from capture, but it will be presented with a “new twist.”

Last Bullet

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 33

The Last Bullet mode will be added during the season. The main mode is “everyone for themselves.” Each player will have three lives and only one bullet, which can eliminate an opponent with a single shot. To get an additional bullet, you’ll need to eliminate an opponent. When you run out of bullets, you’ll have to get closer and eliminate enemies with melee or a knife.

New Region for Outbreak – “Zoo”

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 34

Recently leaked material has been confirmed and will be added to the game soon. There is no precise information on when it will be added.

New Round-Based Zombie Map

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 35

The zombie map “Mauer der Toten” will only appear in the “refresh” and not before July, closer to the end of the season. It’s a completely new map that will add to the storyline and make the game more interesting.

New Operators for Season 4

Jackal (Warsaw Pact)

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 36

The operator Jackal will be added at the start of the season and will be available for purchase along with a unique bundle. He looks cool and powerful, with a highly aggressive character in the storyline.

Salah (NATO)

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 37

The operator Salah will appear closer to the middle of the season. Visually, he doesn’t differ much from regular NATO operators, and personally, I wouldn’t use him in the form he’s presented.

Grigori Weaver (NATO)

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 38

The operator Grigori Weaver will appear closer to the end of Season 4. He’s a Russian mercenary who looks like a beaten-up Adler, so I wouldn’t say I’d want to buy him. However, leaked data suggests he will have a good execution move.

New Scorestreak Series (New Scorestreak – High-Caliber Pistol)

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 39

They promise to add this in the season, originally called the “Hand Cannon.” It will provide you with an additional powerful pistol for killing, but what exactly it will be like is still unclear. Personally, I don’t understand its advantage yet. On the bright side, it won’t be a temporary scorestreak series like the bow was.

New Prestige Icons in Cold War

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 40

Did you notice how slow the account level increased in Season 3? In Season 4, developers will reduce the amount of experience needed to level up. So, it’s the perfect time to push for that level one thousand!

However, I still don’t understand who needs these “prestige emblems and icons” because nothing substantial has been added in exchange for prestige keys to make it worthwhile. Although hardcore players like Recrent and Stikinson level up quickly by completing missions and killing opponents.

Warzone Update: What’s New in Season 4

New Vehicle – Motorcycle

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 41

The motorcycle is a more convenient and faster mode of transportation compared to the ATV. It’s slow, unmanageable, and easy to dismount from. However, if the handling is similar to Cold War, then it’s a game-changer, especially in Warzone.

Fast Travel

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 42

Red doors will appear across Verdansk, which will function as teleporters, as we mentioned before. They will be used as a new form of “metro.” It’s not unrealistic considering the storyline, as we are in memories, so it’s acceptable. However, it’s not clear how they will transport players. If there’s a set route from point A to point B, it could be problematic. Any player can place claymores or mines at point B, spelling DOOM for anyone teleporting there. Hopefully, the developers will plan this aspect properly and make it interesting.

New Point of Interest in Warzone

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 43

Addition of new points of interest on the map related to the in-game event. However, it’s not clear if there will be just one point or multiple. If there’s only one, there’s a chance it will be like the “Hunt for Adler” event where everyone jumps to one spot, and only a few actually complete it. Moreover, new bugs and issues are inevitable.

In these new points, you will be able to find additional killstreaks, new vehicles, and weapon field modifications in supply crates. In addition, there will be a chance to obtain additional blueprints through the Contraband contracts (missions).

New Warzone Modes

Mini-Verdansk on Rebirth

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 44

A new Rebirth mode will take place on a mini Verdansk map, where you will have a loadout within a minute. It’s a smaller map with the ability to respawn and rejoin the game if you have the money. It should appeal to kill-racers. Additionally, they promise new vibrant map colors.

“Payload”

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 45

A unique mode called “Payload,” which developers believe is similar to the cargo trucks that were in Season 4. This mode features 40 players, with 10 teams of 4 players each. The objective is to escort your caravan through special points and hinder the enemy from reaching theirs. The team that reaches their destination first and survives wins. You can also upgrade your vehicle (sounds familiar, right?).

“Die Hard” Legacy

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 46

Despite the “Die Hard” event being over, developers have decided to keep the building because players liked it, and there are many variations for early-game action. It will simply be renamed to our familiar “Downtown Tower.”

Baseball Bat in Warzone

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 (June 17, 2021). → photo 47

The baseball bat will be available in Warzone on June 17. It’s confirmed that it will be added, even though it was promised in Season 3 and is already available in Cold War.

Warzone Update Sizes as of June 17, 2021

The updated patch for Warzone will weigh between 11 and 14 GB.

  • PS4 / PS5 = 11 GB
  • Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One = 11.2 GB
  • PC (Warzone only) = 12.3 GB
  • PC (Warzone and MW) = 13.5 GB

However, PC users need to understand that the weight will be over 28 GB once unpacked, so make sure you have enough disk space for the update to install completely.

If you love to see beautiful and vibrant visuals, new high-resolution textures will be available starting June 22, 2021, but you will need to free up additional space for them: PS4 / PS5 = 7.6 GB / Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One = 7.2 GB.

Cold War Update Sizes as of June 17, 2021

Here, it’s not as good news as it is for Warzone. The update will range from 15.5 GB to 32 GB.

  • PS4 = 15.5 GB
  • PS5 = 30 GB
  • Xbox One = 17.7 GB
  • Xbox Series X|S = 31 GB
  • PC (without HD textures) = 21.6 GB
  • PC (with HD textures) = 30.7 GB

Furthermore, PC users need to think about where to find additional disk space, as they need a minimum of 90 GB of free space on their drive for the game update to install successfully.

Warzone Season 4 Starts on June 17 at 7:00 AM MSK.

Tomorrow at 7 AM Moscow time, new updates will be available for download, so start downloading in advance. Otherwise, you might experience slow download speeds due to overloaded servers, with speeds as low as 50-100 KB per second. The updates are large and substantial, and if there are any issues, you may need to change server regions for distribution.

Starting from Season 4, players can gift paid Battle Pass access through the Black Ops Cold War store. A similar feature for Warzone will be available soon.
